two.2.4) Description of the procurement

During 2021 significant security concerns with the existing CIMS were identified and it was agreed that a move to a MS Dynamics system was essential. A Direct Award Contract - ref DAC9980 - was approved to address urgent operational and security issues and to update the system as well as secure support arrangements for the existing CIMS for a further two year period until the new IM solution was implemented. An additional DAC - ref DAC10890 - was approved to cover the costs of maintaining the existing system and developing a new more secure Dynamics 365 platform whilst retaining full operational integrity.

This work has now been completed and the current provider has identified the costs associated with migrating the current system to the new Dynamics 365 platform that has been developed. A new Direct Award Contract is required to cover these migration costs so that the work can be completed as a matter of priority

Explanation:
