Newcastle City Council 'the Authority' on behalf of Your Homes Newcastle (YHN) and our in-house building contractor, Repairs & Construction Services (RCS) require support from external construction groundwork contractors with skilled tradespersons to assist in delivering a first-class groundworks service for Capital projects. Work awarded under this Framework will be predominantly to support Capital Projects.
To meet this need the Authority wishes to establish a Framework Agreement of partners. The framework will be a Council wide framework and may involve Groundwork for any Council department on various types of public and private premises which may include: new build housing, communal homes; schools; academies; leisure centres; libraries; office accommodation; other educational establishments & community buildings.
The primary council department that capital works are likely to be for however, is the Councils' 'Repairs & Construction Services' who will almost always act as the 'Principal Contractor' with the appointed framework partner acting as a 'sub-contractor'.

• Below ground drainage including gullies, access chambers, drain testing etc
