DVSA is looking to procure the services for the temporary supply of suitably qualified resource through which we can flexibly increase the supply of car practical driving tests (i.e. Category B tests) available to the public.
Our requirement is for the supply of “experienced driving assessors” (EDAs); individuals who have prior experience of conducting; the following advanced driving tests accredited by the DVSA;
• AA Drive Tech Advanced Driving Test
• DIA Advanced Driving Test
• IAM Advanced Driving Test
• RoSPA Advanced Driving Test
or
• A driving test undertaken by those who want to act as a taxi driver.
The EDAs will have existing assessment competence from which, with the necessary familiarisation and training that will be provided by the DVSA, will be able to be successfully fast-tracked to qualify as a DVSA examiner and conduct tests consistently to the procedures and standards set out by the Agency in the DT1 document which can be found at Gov.uk.
Resource is to be supplied on a flexible, contingent basis that can be increased or reduced in response to levels of demand. For the avoidance of doubt resources will not become DVSA employees and Crown insurance will not be applicable.
