Following the successful outcome of the Pond Meadow Extra Care Housing tender phase 1a and the successful outcome of the Phase 1b five Extra Care Housing tender, and in line with the Council's Accommodation with Care and Support Strategy, Surrey County Council is pleased to issue this Prior Information Notice to inform the market of Surrey County Council’s design development of three additional sites for Extra Care Housing development and housing management.

Subject to SCC Cabinet approving the Phase 2 Extra Care Housing, it is intended that these sites will be presented to the market in a tender opportunity commencing early in 2024. These sites will provide circa 200 units towards Surrey County Council’s strategic objectives for Extra Care Housing, which are set out in the July 2019 Cabinet report.

The Council would like to seek views and insight from organisations to assist with the design development of these sites during the Council’s RIBA Stage 2 design development following completion of initial feasibility reports. The purpose of this market consultation is to ensure that any further design development reflects the requirements of the market with regard to operation of the facilities. Interested organisations should express interest in the Extra Care Housing Development Phase 2 Market Engagement project on the Proactis Supplier Network (https://supplierlive.proactisp2p.com) and submit a response to the consultation questionnaire by 17 July 2023.
