This contract is led and owned by Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are now within a group model with Northampton General Hospital and therefore this contract is open to Northampton General Hospital to join during

the contract period

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Upkeep and maintenance of Kettering General Hospital's Building Management System.

SCOPE OF WORKS

2.01This specification is for the provision of Building Management System (BMS) maintenance service and support contract, for Kettering General Hospital.

2.02The contract shall be for a period of 3 years with the opportunity to extend for a further 1+1 additional years

2.03The contract essentially is in 2 parts:-

2.03.01 Part 1 - Fully comprehensive maintenance agreement, to including the following:-

Electrical/Control panel maintenance

On-Site BMS supervising PC and associated equipment maintenance

BMS Hardware maintenance

BMS Software maintenance

Provide remote monitoring services as required and work closely with estates officers to develop reporting software for energy management.

Provide on-site attendance, for 2 days per week, 7.5 hours per day between the hours of 06:00 till 20:00 to monitor and manage day to day activity of the BMS. This will be subject to change throughout the contract as Kettering General Hospital reserve the right to increase/de-crease site attendance. Additional hourly rate to be given for increase of days.

Provide a helpdesk /support service. e.g. to monitor/action critical BMS alarms, and give advice as required.

Provide BMS advice and commissioning as required to designers and contractors for new projects.

Provide out-of hours call-out assistance, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a maximum 1 hour response time

To provide maintenance reports as per section 3.00

To provide on-going on the job training for KGH maintenance staff in the field regarding replacement actuators etc.

2.03.02 Part 2 - Building Management System Survey Update:-

Carry out a full site survey to review all current building and engineering control arrangements in all Plant Rooms, Electrical Sub Stations, Metering stations etc for the existing Satchwell and Siemens systems.

Validate and update existing documentation and assets, giving details of all equipment, including a updated condition report, including photographs, of the inside and outside of all Electrical Control Panels, and give a condition ranking in the following format.

To supply report detailing the basis of the specification document to the conversion of the existing Satchwell BMS control systems in line with the current recently installed software system.

•Condition A=As New

•Condition B=Good Condition - Normal Maintenance

•Condition C=Poor Condition – need to be overhauled

•Condition D=Very poor Condition – needs to be replaced
