Swindon Borough Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the provision of 24 high quality bus shelters to service 27 bus stops along Fleming Way with the aim of significantly improving the experience of bus users in the Fleming Way area.
The aspiration is to provide low carbon bus shelters in terms of manufacturing processes, materials, lifecycle of the product, and eventual recycling of materials.
The bus shelters must be of high quality, contemporary but simple design, and something for Swindon to be proud of.
The bus shelters should be as environmentally friendly as possible in their manufacture, materials and whole life costs. It is essential to provide units which are low carbon (net zero if possible), with sustainable methods of construction and established ‘green’ company credentials, in line with the ethos of this project.

To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents. In the event of difficulties registering as a supplier, please refer to the System Administrator Proactis support team ProContractSuppliers@proactis.com
Contract Period
The contract will be for a period of 24 months commencing 19th October 2023 as per the contract terms and conditions. It is envisaged that the opportunity will range from £900,000 to £1,500,000
