ScotRail require a flexible software and hardware solution to ensure the continued efficiency of on train hospitality. ScotRail require an EPOS solution that will allow for ordering and payment on ScotRail train services, often taking payment in remote geographical locations. The current requirement is 80 EPOS devices / solutions for ScotRail staff with the option to purchase more (or decrease the number) over the lifetime of the contract.

ScotRail are inviting prospective suppliers to bid for a managed hospitality service encompassing: the sourcing and delivery of food and drinks, managing food and drink stores / depots and waste, stock management, loading and maintaining trollies and providing an EPOS solution. For the avoidance of doubt; ScotRail staff would still sell / retail food and drink on board trains however the prospective supplier(s) would manage the backend supply.

Please note that your response to the PQQ for this Lot is to be submitted at the latest by 12:00 on 15 November 2023. As such, please ignore section 'IV.2.2) Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate' and 'IV.2.3 Estimated date of dispatch of invitations to tender or to participate to selected candidates' in relation to this Lot only. Details in relation to the deadlines for this Lot can found in the PQQ documents.
Whilst it is the intention that SRT will be the primary user of this contract, all lots will be available to use by ScotRail and members of the Scottish Rail Holdings Limited Group (including holding company or subsidiaries).
