two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Introduction:
The University of Derby are currently looking for external coaching organisation(s) with a substantial pool of qualified coaches to provide coaching to Senior Leaders across the organisation, through individual 1-1 executive coaching.
Scope:
We have undergone a period of unprecedented change in recent years, not only in our sector but politically, socially and economically, which has created challenges but also many opportunities for our Senior Leadership Teams.
We are ambitious for our students, our staff and our region, but equally need to be flexible and adaptable to the changing environment in which we operate. What is right for our students today may not be right tomorrow, and getting this right is most important for our future success. Over the next few years, the nature and pace of change is likely to accelerate even further, and the University therefore needs to be in the best possible position to thrive, in what we know will continue to be challenging circumstances.
We are committed to building our leadership capability and up and coming talent within the organisation. Therefore, a future development for 2022/23 will be the launch of a leadership and management development provision, supported by competences. Underpinning this will be 360 reviews and one to one coaching.
In order to meet these challenges, and as part of our wider internal Coaching and Mentoring Framework, we would like to work with external coaching provider(s) who can support our Senior Leaders through this period of culture change, uncertainty, and complex challenge, so that we may continue to deliver a high-performing culture.
The nature of the contract would be over a period of 4 years and on a demand-led basis where the coach would be called upon as and when required and matched accordingly.
Framework:
We would like to tender for a framework of suppliers (up to 20 suppliers) to join our external 'pool' of executive 1-1 coaches. There will be no guarantee of sessions as they will be held on a demand-led based on staff requirements and appropriate coach/UoD staff member matching.
The supplier must also have the flexibility to deliver the sessions face to face or virtually (the University platform is Teams). Face to face delivery is preferable, but the supplier must be able to determine an appropriate balance between the two.
