The ‘Community Advice & Support’ service is a generalist advice service provided across West Sussex with locations & activities in each District & Borough area. The contract is funded via a long-standing partnership arrangement between the County Council and the District and Borough Councils that dates back to 2010. This is a universal access service with a high-profile brand identity and is a key part of the prevention network operating across West Sussex. The service is often the first point of contact for people in crisis situations and works with other voluntary and statutory sector organisations across the county.

West Sussex County Council and the District & Borough Councils in West Sussex are seeking to engage with organisations who would be interested in providing a countywide ‘Community Advice & Support’ service. The ‘Community Advice & Support’ service is a generalist advice service provided across West Sussex with locations & activities in each District & Borough area. The contract is funded via a long-standing partnership arrangement between the County Council and the District and Borough Councils that dates back to 2010. This is a universal access service with a high-profile brand identity and is a key part of the prevention network operating across West Sussex. The service is often the first point of contact for people in crisis situations and works with other voluntary and statutory sector organisations across the county. The current 2019-22 contract with Citizens Advice West Sussex will cease on 31st March 2022 and work is now underway to award a new contract for up to 7 years. We are holding market engagement sessions on Wednesday 1st September which will cover the requirements for the service and the context for service delivery.
