The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) requires Technical Support Services to assist with the running of the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF). The objectives of the IETF are to reduce the energy costs and emissions of UK industry and to bring down the costs and risks of industrial decarbonisation technologies through demonstration and deployment.

BEIS intends to procure engineering-related scientific and technical services which includes the following:

- Assessing grant applications and advising on awards

- Agreeing and verifying project baselines

- Monitoring & Evaluation of benefits realised by projects

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

BEIS intends to procure engineering-related scientific and technical services which includes the following:

1. Assessment of grant applications against technical and non-technical criteria

(i) These will cover both energy efficiency projects (such as heat recovery and process optimisation) and deep decarbonisation (such as carbon

capture and fuel switching).

(ii) Applications will be from the manufacturing sector and data centres, but the scope may be revised in future windows to encompass a wider

range of industrial activities. Companies of any size are eligible to apply.

(iii) For applications which require additional scrutiny, some technical resource may be needed to sit on interview panels.

(iv) Assessment windows are likely to take place three times a year.
