Overview: Northumbria Healthcare Foundation Trust are looking for Suppliers to work with them to develop an IT service that will provide an IT solution for the NHS Digital Consent

process. We will be asking for Expressions on Interest and then selecting a number of

Providers to attend a Supplier Day meeting to discuss what potential solutions are available

and the future market direction for Digital Consent platforms.

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (the Contracting Authority) provides a range

of health and care services to support more than 500,000 people living in Northumberland

and North Tyneside. The Contracting Authority delivers care from hospitals, in a range of

community venues and in people’s own homes. Services include:

Emergency and urgent care services including emergency surgery

· Planned and on-going care and rehabilitation

· Outpatient clinics in a range of conditions

· Elective surgery

· Diagnostic services

· Maternity services

· Children’s services

· End of life care

Therapies including physio, occupational and speech and language

·

Community services such as district nursing and health promotion

The Contracting Authority delivers care from sites across Northumberland and North

Tyneside including an emergency care hospital, general and community hospitals, an

outpatient and diagnostic centre, an elderly care unit and an integrated health and social

care facility

Timescale: The Trust does not have a current IT solution for this process but is looking to

design, commission and implement as soon as practicable. We will be seeking assurances

from suppliers that a reasonable timeframe is achievable and will be looking to discuss this

with options and suggestions for phasing and innovative approaches at the Supplier Day.

The supplier day is scheduled for the 25/07/2022 at the Village Hotel: 10 The Silverlink N,

West Allotment, Newcastle upon Tyne NE27 0BY; the day will consist of a number of 40- 60

minute meetings with the Key representatives from NHCFT, to discuss the current market

situation, currently deliverable solutions, future developments and a forward procurement

strategy.

A detailed agenda will of course follow in due course.

The discussion meetings will be based on a Supplier suitability. Please register your interest
