Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (the Contracting Authority) provides a range of health and care services to support more than 500,000 people living in Northumberland and North Tyneside. The Contracting Authority delivers care from hospitals, in a range of community venues and in people’s own homes. Services include:

Emergency and urgent care services including emergency surgery

· Planned and on-going care and rehabilitation

· Outpatient clinics in a range of conditions

· Elective surgery

· Diagnostic services

· Maternity services

· Children’s services

· End of life care

· Therapies including physio, occupational and speech and language

· Community services such as district nursing and health promotion

The Contracting Authority delivers care from sites across Northumberland and North Tyneside including an emergency care hospital, general and community hospitals, an outpatient and diagnostic centre, an elderly care unit and an integrated health and social care facility.

At present our proposed project would be predominantly based on the procurement of a comprehensive Virtual Consultations platform.

Timescales: The Trust does not have a current IT solution for this process but is looking to design, commission and implement as soon as practicable. We will be seeking assurances from suppliers that a reasonable timeframe is achievable and will be looking to discuss this with options and suggestions for phasing and innovative approaches at the Supplier Day.

The supplier day is scheduled for the 25/07/2022 at the Village Hotel: 10 The Silverlink N, West Allotment, Newcastle upon Tyne NE27 0BY; the day will consist of a number of 40- 60 minute meetings with the Key representatives from NHCFT, to discuss the current market situation, currently deliverable solutions, future developments and a forward procurement strategy. A detailed agenda will of course follow in due course.

The discussion meetings will be based on a Supplier suitability. Please register your interest on this portal and confirm your availability for a meeting slot by email to: paul.greenwood@nhct.nhs.uk. Could you also please provide an overview of your Digital Consent Solution (no more than a one page overview).

Further Information: A copy of the draft specification and additional information can be obtained from paul.greenwood@nhct.nhs.uk.
