At a high level an indication of the services to be provided are detailed below but in terms of approach to the delivery of the services the new partner will be expected to deliver the 68 month contract as follows:
From Contract Signature - Expected December 2021
• Provide Strategic Partnering activities to develop the use of ICT across the Trust (8 months as partnering services only)
From 1st August 2022 until 31st July 2027
• Continue to provide the Strategic partnering services as a central function of the Trust
• Provide a fully outsourced managed service for all schools
(60 months for managed service and partnering services)
In addition to the initial provision this procurement will also enable the Trust, at is sole discretion to;
• include additional sites (The Trust is expected to grow in size in the next 5 years)
• purchase additional goods and/or services for schools throughout the contract
For the purposes of this shortlisting stage bidders should assume that the ITT will include, but not be limited to;
• strategic Partnering services to support the to deliver a 'co-ordinated' and developmental ICT service to its schools that is both inclusive and innovative. In essence this is about facilitating and ensuring that the Trust and its schools really make the best use of ICT in teaching, learning and management
• to lead on a 'transition to the cloud' project including technical elements regarding cloud architecture and support for users in schools on this developmental path.
• a core 50-week service
• service desk
• local staffing that bidders deem necessary to deliver the SLA
• responsibility for design, specification, installation and management of all ICT infrastructure
• supply of goods and services based on an agreed Best Value (BV) approach
• management of all ICT against an agreed SLA
• management of 3rd parties eg broadband and VoIP provider
• relevant monitoring, management, patching and reporting
• training - technical and curriculum as necessary
• expectation that the provider will drive innovation
• risk registers and inventory management
• collective partnership targets regarding support for e.g. employability of students
Bidders should note the following;
• The Trust will provide a standard contract as part of the ITT Pack
• TUPE will apply from the existing managed service supplier. There are no potential transferees from the Trust
