Building and Facilities Departments of the National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery (NG & NPG) requires the services of an experienced hard services provider at its premises in Trafalgar Square, London WC2N 5DN and St Martin's Place, London, WC2H 0HE. It is anticipated that the contract duration shall be five years with the possibility of further extensions of up to one plus one years, subject to satisfactory performance.
The service provider must demonstrate skills and experience of maintaining appropriate environmental conditions effectively and efficiently within prestigious public buildings which accommodate works of art and valuable / delicate artefacts. This includes lighting, heating, air conditioning, humidity control and maintenance of the buildings’ fabric. They shall be required to maintain a permanent presence within the buildings

Services required include lighting, heating, air conditioning, humidity control and maintenance of the buildings’ fabric. They shall be required to maintain a permanent presence within the buildings and provide managers and operatives who are adequately trained and skilled in working in and have experience of working on a Grade 1 listed building.
The site working hours will be 24 hours for M&E and normal hours (07:45 to 18:00 Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays) for the Fabric services. The service provider must be able to plan and react to problems and unforeseen emergencies. Health, safety, and environmental performance is of particular importance
