Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.
Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:
We identified that a reinstatement cost review had not been carried out for a number of years, which has led to a lack of assurance in our insured sums and resulted in special terms being imposed by our insurers in 2024. We have had the reinstatement cost assessment health check back and our stock is on average under insured by 25%, it also identified that a number of properties were over insured, which means we now have to revisit and amend all of the reinstatement costs which is not possible in the time frame available before the current contract expires
