Surrey County Council (SCC) is looking to recommission Family Centres and Family Resilience Services and would like to share with organisations who have experience in this area the details around the recommissioning model and bidding process. Surrey County Council warmly invites you to take part in our interactive market engagement workshop for potential and existing providers of Family Centres and Family Resilience Services.

Family Centres and Family Resilience provision in Surrey applies across a child's life from 0-18 years (25 for Children with additional needs and disabilities). Surrey County Council Early Help Partnerships is committed to the following principles:

Empower families to take responsibility by working with them, not doing things to or for them.

Recognise that family, friends, and community can be the most effective and sustainable forces of "help."

Enable support at the right time, in the right place, in the right way.

Work in partnership to make best use of shared resource, skills, and knowledge.

Embrace a strength based, whole-family approach to finding sustainable solutions.

Build our work on an evidence informed approach.

Understand the power of good communications both with families and with colleagues.

The purpose of this event will be to:

To provide an update on the progress made to date and share a timeline for the recommission.

To outline the themes and feedback from the previous Market Engagement events.

To share information on the commissioning approach and the next steps involved in the bidding process.

Give providers the opportunity to ask questions.

SCC would like to invite Providers with relevant experience to register for this Market Engagement Event in relation to Family Centres and Family Resilience Services.

Our context

SCC is embarking on the process of recommissioning Family Centres and Family Resilience Services. This will include changes to the current model which will look to strengthen the way we ensure families, children and young people achieve family resilience. This will enable better outcomes for all service users in the system. We would like to invite potential and existing providers to attend and hear about the commission and bidding process.

Ultimately, it is SCCs aim to ensure that we embed the Department for Educations 10 Supporting Family Outcomes Framework. This means making sure children, young people and families have:

A good education

Improved mental and physical health

Reduced harm from substance misuse

Good early years development

Financial stability

Secure housing

Improved family relations

Children safe from abuse and exploitation

Safety from domestic abuse

Crime prevention and tackling crime

SCC wants to work collaboratively with providers to develop a high-quality provision that contributes to improved outcomes for our children, young people and families. We look forward to receiving your response and hearing your thoughts and ideas at the event.
