two.1.4) Short description

The key objectives of the programme are to upskill the primary, secondary and personalised care workforces to improve their awareness of the benefits of physical activity, to increase their confidence in prescribing and to signpost residents to physical activity opportunities.

There is a specific population focus on supporting working aged adults (18 to 55-year-olds) to be active, and particular priority groups (i.e. people with a disability, long term health condition and those living in areas of deprivation as well as ethnic minorities and women).

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The contract has now been formally awarded using direct award process C.
