We are seeking to determine the market capacity for digital/tele-health options. Providers from across the market are invited to engage with NHS Supply Chain on what they are able to provide in this sector to support the use of digital technologies to enable universal healthcare access, improve healthcare quality/outcomes and enhance the health and physical and emotional well-being of populations.

The range of services that we are reviewing can be used within or between healthcare facilities, or a professional facilities, education and the home are as follows:

- Telemetry for the in situ collection of measurements or other data at remote points and their automatic transmission to receiving equipment for monitoring

- Telemedicine to provide real-time and interactive transmission of images and sound between two or more sites, enabling a healthcare professional to communicate with other professionals or directly with a patient.

- Telehealth the use of digital information and communication technologies, such as computers and mobile devices, to access health care services remotely

- Telecare offering remote care of elderly and physically less able people, providing the care and reassurance needed to allow them to remain living in their own homes

- Telecoaching and self-care services that put people in control of their own health, wellbeing and support, keeping them safe, well and independent
