This prior information notice is to signal an intention to commence market engagement with those within the legal market. Sanctuary Housing Association intends to hold market engagement sessions on the 4 July 2023 with suppliers interested in potentially bidding for the resulting panel contract.

Sanctuary Housing Association’s current Legal Service Level Agreement expires early 2024. Sanctuary Housing Association is planning a tender its Legal Services requirements. The outcome of this tender will be a multi-supplier arrangement across Lots covering requirements in both England and Scotland. Work has commenced in developing the procurement strategy options including canvassing of stakeholders’ views. To complete and finalise the strategy, Sanctuary Housing Association recognises the value of suppliers having the opportunity to contribute to this process on a non-competitive, non-judgemental basis.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Sanctuary Housing Association are a not-for-profit housing association, providing homes and care for more than 250,000 people in England and Scotland. Every penny made is reinvested in improving homes and services, building new affordable homes and investing in communities. Sanctuary is driven by their charitable and social purpose and values.

Sanctuary work as one team, made up of over 13,500 people across England and Scotland. Sanctuary manages more than 105,000 homes, 115 residential care homes, 650 supported housing schemes and more than 10,000 student rooms. Sanctuary also provides a range of other services including maintenance, care and telecare. The Group is highly acquisitive and proactively seeks creative commercial opportunities whilst maintaining good governance and taking a measured approach to risk.

Sanctuary's group structure comprises of around 45 entities, including companies registered within the jurisdictions of England and Scotland. Entities include Registered Societies, companies limited by shares, companies limited by guarantee, registered charities and a PLC. The Group also undertakes joint ventures.

The Group is seeking legal services providers who will provide high quality, cost effective tailored advice, support and solutions which support both the core business and the wider services provided by Sanctuary Group in line with the Group’s values and business strategy.

The demand for legal support is high and will be fast paced therefore it is essential that suppliers have the flexibility and capacity to meet the needs of the business.

The Group is planning early engagement with the market via a Suppliers Day on 4 July 2023, to be conducted via Microsoft Teams.
