Description

Brighton & Hove City Council (BHCC) is seeking to engage with suitably experienced leisure facility operators in respect of the forthcoming contract opportunity for the management and operation of its leisure facilities, including a major new leisure centre to replace King Alfred Leisure Centre in Hove.

Prior to undertaking the formal procurement process, which is targeted to commence in November 2025 with the new contract starting in April 2027, BHCC is seeking to undertake Early Market Engagement (EME). The purpose is to consult with the leisure operator market to enable BHCC to better define its service requirements and the procurement process, working towards securing a commercially viable, high quality and community focused leisure management contract that will deliver increased physical activity levels and improved health outcomes for residents.

Please note this EME notice is not a call for competition nor an invitation to tender. Participation in this EME exercise will not influence future procurement decisions.
