The works include the re-cladding, re-roofing and refurbishment of an existing aircraft hangar currently in use as a museum gallery, a new build Collections Hub with a link to an existing conservation centre and creation of a number of internal rooms within the Collections Hub and Site wide landscaping works will include the development of a new public realm

The works are being procured using a 2 Stage JCT Design & Build Contract with the Architectural, Civils and Structural teams novated to work with the preferred tenderer. The Services engineer will remain under the remit of the Client. The procurement of this contract is subject to National Lottery Heritage Funding (NLHF). Due to the project funding structure, the initial stage involves a prequalification assessment (SQ/PQQ) where a maximum of five suppliers will be identified who will then be invited to respond to the Stage 1 tender process
