two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Arriva is seeking to establish a framework agreement(s) for the supply of Bulk Diesel to Arriva (UK Trains and UK Bus) and DB Cargo and DB Schenker UK in accordance with EN590/BS2869 A2.
The framework will not have any guaranteed spend or volume, the bulk diesel is to be supplied at depots across a wide geographical spread of England and Wales.
Arriva is seeking suppliers that can offer:
- Supply Bulk Diesel EN590/BS2869 to train and bus depots across England and Wales. Full specification and requirements provided upon request.
- Potential suppliers will be in the business of supplying bulk diesel to Bus and Train businesses, across the full geographical coverage of England and Wales. In large quantities at short notice.
- Provision of up to 200,000,000 litres of Bulk Diesel per annum, via scheduled daily and weekly deliveries to multiple locations in England and Wales on 24 hours notice. Details, delivery location and delivery requirements to be provided at later stages of the process.
- The Bulk Diesel will confirm to specified standards EN590/BS2869

Arriva is seeking suppliers that can offer:
- All necessary licenses, accreditations and competencies required to be able to supply Bulk Diesel with EN590/ BS2869 A2.
- Appropriate insurances in accordance with business standards for delivery of Bulk Diesel.
- Ability to supply the volumes expected by Arriva on a regular basis to ensure the continued operation of their fleet of trains and buses.
- Supporting documentation detailing the traceability of the supplied Bulk Diesel and all other details required for compliance purposes.
Suppliers who can meet all the above requirements and who pass Arriva's supplier due diligence checks will be offered a framework under which it can then participate in the Tender process.
