Peterborough City Council's (PCC) Care & Repair Home Improvement Agency, part of the Adult Social Care Home Service Delivery Team, anticipates undertaking a procurement exercise for the provision of a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for contractors to deliver grant funded adaptations and building works.
The Council is committed to transforming local provision to better meet the needs of vulnerable, elderly and disabled adults and disabled children the Peterborough Unitary Authority area. The purpose of the proposed procurement exercise will be to procure almost all the agency services by utilising schedules of rates and competition within the DPS, in order to develop an innovative, flexible team of contractors to deliver the Council’s Disabled Facility Grant allocation from central government.
• LOT 1 The provision of level access showering facilities and associated works in domestic properties. The installation of minor aids and adaptations to domestic properties
• LOT 2 The installation of boiler and central heating installations
• LOT 3 The construction of large-scale adaptations to domestic properties to provide adapted living facilities for disabled people. The provision of repairs to vulnerable, low income, owner occupied domestic properties to remedy defects as identified by the application of the Housing Act 2004’s Health & Safety Rating System.
• LOT 4 The Supply and installation of Stairlifts, Steplifts (including concrete works), Vertical through Floor Lifts and Ceiling Track Hoists in domestic properties;
• LOT 5 Specialist de-cluttering and deep cleaning services.

● The installation of major disabled facility adaptations to enable occupants to have suitable access in, out and around the property. This may include ramps, internal alterations and re-configuration of internal spaces, door widening, accessible kitchens, stairlifts, through floor lifts, step lifts
● The Installation of level access showering facilities and associated work.
● The construction of extensions or large-scale adaptations to domestic properties to provide ground floor accessible living facilities for disabled people
● The provision of Boiler and Central Heating Installations.
● The provision of repairs to domestic properties as identified by the application of the Housing Act 2004 Housing Health & Safety Rating surveys
● Specialist decluttering and deep cleaning of properties occupied by vulnerable residents who may be displaying hoarding behaviours
This contract will be divided into lots:
• LOT 1 The provision of level access showering facilities and associated works in domestic properties. The installation of minor aids and adaptations to domestic properties
• LOT 2 The installation of boiler and central heating installations
• LOT 3 The construction of large-scale adaptations to domestic properties to provide adapted living facilities for disabled people. The provision of repairs to vulnerable, low income, owner occupied domestic properties to remedy defects as identified by the application of the Housing Act 2004’s Health & Safety Rating System.
