two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Norfolk County Council is using this opportunity to invite potential providers to engage with us around the requirement to deliver an adult autism short-term social care service. The council wants to work with a suitably qualified and experienced Provider to work with autistic adults to prevent and reduce social care needs. We are looking for ethical providers that deliver value for money, and a high-quality service that will be responsive to the needs of autistic adults. The service aims to prevent and reduce emerging social care needs through effective short-term interventions (of up to 12 weeks) and improve access to community and universal services preventing the escalation of need. The service will work with autistic adults referred from Norfolk County Council front door and locality teams to work one-to-one on a specific need (for example to improve daily function, quality of life, overall wellbeing), put in place a light touch plan and review to achieve good outcomes defined by autistic adults. The outcomes of the service is that autistic adults gain confidence and independence, empowering autistic adults to make informed choices on how best to manage and maintain their emerging social care needs and prevent the need for more costly care. If you are interested in finding out more and meeting with the commissioners, you must first be registered on the Council's e-tendering site at https://in-tendhost.co.uk/norfolkcc/aspx/Home and express an interest in this project. The meetings will be conducted via Teams and we expect to hold them over 2 weeks commencing 5th June. If you wish to meet with us, please email tracey.walton@norfolk.gov.uk sending her the email addresses of all attendees. She will issue an invite.
