The Isle of Wight Mental Health Crisis Safe Haven was established under a grant agreement in 2018/19 to provide a resource for those who may be at risk of, or who may be experiencing a mental health crisis. The grant was formalised into an NHS Standard contract that will expire on 31 March 2022.
The CCG now intends to award a contract for the provision of services to provide opportunities for individuals with mental health needs to obtain short term support within their local community.
3.2 Objectives of the Procurement
The CCG is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Provider that will provide, as described in the service specification, an effective, supportive resource for those who may be at risk of, or who may be experiencing a mental health crisis.
The procurement process will identify a Provider that can meet the current and future demands of this service and that can deliver an integrated approach to support, working in partnership with other Providers on the island to reduce the impact of crisis on the individual and in doing so, ensure that the impact of mental health crisis is reduced across the wider health and social care system.
