The Self Check in solution should allow the patient to arrive themselves for their scheduled appointments/admissions and update the respective scheduling system with the arrived status. NHS Grampian are also looking for a solution to allow clinicians to “call” patients from their clinic room via use of technology (next patient call). Audio and visual display on the waiting room screen is required to inform the patient when they are required to enter the clinical area and what room they are required to go to.
