The University of Nottingham (UoN) is seeking to develop an approach to monitoring engagement and attendance of students. In addition to enhancing student engagement capability, it is also necessary for the UoN to meet its statutory and legal obligations (for example: Home Office requirement for universities to monitor the attendance of Tier 4 visa students). The UoN is currently exploring all potential solution options including conducting a preliminary market consultation evet(s) to engage with the market. The UoN has a student population of around 34,500. The UoN workforce impacted is around 1000 – 2000 subject to the solution. The UoN is seeking a software solution that may comprise of one or more components to fulfil the overall functional requirements.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The University of Nottingham (UoN) is seeking to develop an approach to monitoring engagement and attendance of students. In addition to enhancing student engagement capability, it is also necessary for the UoN to meet its statutory and legal obligations (for example: Home Office requirement for universities to monitor the attendance of Tier 4 visa students). The UoN has a student population of around 34,500. The UoN workforce impacted is around 1000 – 2000 subject to the solution. The UoN is seeking a software solution that may comprise of one or more components to fulfil the overall functional requirements as stated below.Functionality Requirements- Capture physical attendance at a learning session- Capture online engagement using tools such as Teams (online learning sessions), Moodle (VLE), Echo (Lecture Capture), and submitted assignments- Capture Student Absence- Capture of student interventions and outcomes- Data capture subset and reporting to meet statutory obligations for V&I - Analytics dashboard on attendance and engagement including:o Sessions attended and not attendedo Cohort comparisonso Intervention history and successo Tutor viewo Student viewo Wellbeing team viewo Visa & Immigration viewThe UoN is exploring all potential solution options including conducting a preliminary market consultation evet(s) to engage with the market. The UoN shall be conducting preliminary market consultation event(s). The preliminary market consultation event(s) shall take place virtually and date/time shall be confirmed between interested parties and the UoN. For further details and to register an interest in attending one of the events (maximum two individuals per organisation) please register your organisation’s details on In-Tend, the UoN's electronic tendering portal: https://www.in-tendhost.co.uk/Universityofnottingham Once registered, please log on and select "Tenders", then "1796 ET - Student Engagement and Attendance Software Solution". Organisations shall be required to express an interest in this specific exercise before being contacted through the electronic tendering portal with further information, including confirming a time slot for one of the event(s), a final Agenda and share a Microsoft Teams link for attending virtually. It is the UoN intention to hold virtual preliminary market engagement event(s) between 13th - 24th June 2022.Expression of interest deadline: by 17th June 2022, 16:00. This/these event(s) is/are intended to facilitate early market engagement only and is/are not a call for competition.
