The service provider shall be required to have the skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications necessary to provide grounds maintenance machinery including aftercare, servicing & repair for Jigsaw Homes Group (JHG).
This service is currently provided by an external provider and the current contract will expire on November 2024.
The new proposed contract will be for 4 years with an option to extend for a further one-year extension to commence on 1st April 2025 with orders potentially being placed in June 2024. The initial four-year contract will come to an end 31st March 2029, dependent on performance and by mutual agreement this contract period may be extended up to a further one year with a total end date of 31st March 2030.
The successful Provider will be expected to mobilise to our timescale and be able to provide the grounds maintenance machinery by 1st March 2025, please refer to Section 1.10 the Tender Process Summary below for more details.
This Tender will comply and meet OJEU requirements and UK Public Procurement Regulations 2015.
JHG are looking to enter into a contract with a grounds maintenance machinery provider to procure the ride on mowers & chippers for the organisation. JHG currently require the following machinery to use within the Manchester area. Whilst these figures were correct at the time of publishing this document and may be subject to change throughout the course of the contract, albeit we only anticipate this to be nominal.

- John Deere x948 signature series tractor 4-wheel drive 2-wheel steer – 2 No
- Timberwolf chipper TW 230HB-6” – 749 KG – 1 No
- Timberwolf chipper TW 280HB-8” - 1270 KG – 1 No
Based on the information contained within this ITT, we encourage the bidder to complete Section 5 – Pricing Document where there are four options to price for the above said machinery. These options are as follows.
Option 1 – Purchase
Option 2 – Hire Purchase
Option 3 – Finance Lease
Option 4 – Operating Lease & Contract Hire
The totals of each of these Options shall be transferred to Section 8 – Form of Tender. Please also note the documentation listed in Section 7 – Enclosure & Tender Return Check List for your submission.
