Aberdeen City Council seek to appoint an ELC provider/concessionaire to deliver funded ELC to 2–5 year-old children within each of two Council owned purpose-built nursery settings. The provider will also be eligible to provide wrap around care to children and families, where parents and carers chose to purchase further hours in addition to the funded hours.

The two premises are as follows:

1.Tillydrone Nursery, Gort Road, Tillydrone, Aberdeen, AB24 2YS

-Gross internal area of 457.3 square metres

-One room

-The nursery will accommodate a total of 56 children at any one time.

- Concession fees: year 1 - minimum fee of GBP10,000; year 2 onwards - minimum fee of GBP10,000 or 5% of the turnover, whichever is the higher.

2.Cummings Park Nursery, Cummings Park Crescent, Northfield, Aberdeen, AB16 7AS.

-Gross internal area of 537.4 square metres

-Two rooms

-The nursery will accommodate a total of 80 children at any one time.

- Concession fees: year 1 - GBP15,000; year 2 onwards - minimum fee of GBP15,000 or 5% of the turnover, whichever is the higher

and will accommodate a total of 56 children at any one time.

CreditSafe Credit Check:

1.The Council shall obtain a Creditsafe credit check and will score bidders accordingly:

71 - 100 Very Low Risk – Accept

51 - 70 Low Risk - Accept

30 - 50 Moderate Risk – subject to further discussion internally with the option to reject.

21-29 High Risk – subject to further discussion internally with the option to reject.

1-20 Very High Risk – Reject.

2. Please state current turnover (if contract value is over 50% of reported turnover, further discussion will be had internally with the option to reject).

3. If you are under no obligation to publish accounts on Companies House and/or do not have a comprehensive credit rating then provide audited financial accounts for the previous two years. Both quick and current ratios should be a minimum of 1:1.5 for the two successive years. Bidders whose ratios do not meet the minimum criteria will be rejected.

Appropriate Levels of Insurance:

It is a requirement of this contract that bidders hold, or can commit to obtain prior to the commencement of any subsequently awarded contract, the types and levels of insurance indicated below at a minimum:

Employers (Compulsory) Liability Insurance - GBP10million

Public Liability Insurance - GBP10 million in respect of any one claim and unlimited as to number of claims;

Statutory Third-Party Motor Vehicle Insurance (only where Applicants will use their vehicles when undertaking activities under the Agreement.

Additional charges:

Cyclical inspection and maintenance will by carried out by the Council and charged to the provider.

Premises Insurance; Loss of Rent Insurance; and insurance against property owners liability in respect of the Property will be arranged by the Council and recharged to the provider.

Estimated premiums for year 1 for the two nurseries are as follows:

Tillydrone - GBP1155.44

Northfield - GBP1335.62
