two.2.4) Description of the procurement

To procure a single Contractor to undertake Atrium’s void property and housing reactive repairs service including audit and an out of hours call out service, for Atrium properties within the Greater Kilmarnock area. For the purpose of procuring these works Atrium’s stock was divided between two areas i.e. Area 2 - Greater Kilmarnock (946 properties); and Area 1 - outlying areas (255 properties). This award appoints a single Contractor for an initial period of one year for Area 2; with the option to extend on an annual basis subject to performance and cost certainty for up to a further three years; and with the proviso that Area 1 can be included at any given date during the contract period.

The ‘all risk’ insurance level has been confirmed as lower than that validated in the SPD and on the minimum standard requirements within the Contract Brief. The lower level in place has since been deemed adequate for the type and scale of contract. As none of the interested parties or tenderers were declined for this reason, this alteration did not exclude or affect bidders in the assessment of the tender documents nor change the outcome of the procurement exercise.
