The Health Board currently provides secure Public WiFi internet access to many of its sites across North Wales using the existing BCUHB corporate wireless infrastructure as a transport mechanism. There has been a consistent and significant increase in demand for reliable and fast performing internet access across the Health Board from stakeholders including patients, visitors, and BCUHB staff.

The Health Board is looking to replace its existing Public WiFi Internet service which is currently available as a number of wireless overlay SSIDs. The current service is available at all BCUHB sites with an existing corporate wireless infrastructure (currently circa 70 sites).
