Manchester City Council is prepared to receive tenders for the Provision of Bikeability Training which will be subject to the information, specification and tender package provided.
The contract will deliver training in accordance with Cycle Training Standards Board (CTSB), Bikeability Standard Levels 2 and 3 (“the Bikeability Standard”), to children across Manchester.
The Core Service will comprise delivery of cycle training for Years 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 and it is the Council’s intention to train the minimum target number of 2500 (individual trainees) children per year.
Additional activities may be required as and when funding is available. These include delivery of Level 1 courses to Years 3 and 4, delivery of fifth Level 2 sessions to support courses that may have been affected by inclement weather, and delivery of the Department of Transport’s new scheme, Bikeability Plus.
During the course of the contract period Adult Cycle Training may also be required.
This contract does not guarantee a minimum number of individuals to be trained by the contractor and is dependent on full funding being secured.

Once registered, applicants will be emailed a log-in and password which will allow them to gain access to the documentation relating to this opportunity.

The contract will be for 2 years expected to commence 01/11/2021 with an option to extend for up to 2 years.
The successful supplier will be required to actively participate in the economic and social regeneration of the locality of, and surroundings of, the place of delivery of the contract. Therefore, selection and award criteria, specification requirements and contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations as relevant to the subject matter of this project.
The Council reserves the right not to award the contract, as a result of this Contract Notice. The Council shall not be liable for any costs or expenses incurred by any organisation in responding to this notice or in tendering for the proposed contract.
All submissions must be in English, with any clarifications or discussions conducted in English. Tenders and supporting documents must be priced in pounds sterling and all payments under the proposed contract will be made in pounds sterling.
