This is a new contract that is scheduled to commence at the start of NOVEMBER 2021 for a period of FOUR years, with the option to extend for a further TWO years solely at the discretion of the contracting authority and is dependent on performance.
The service required will involve a comprehensive cleaning service including routine and non-routine internal cleaning, plus some specific external cleaning. The contract will be a fixed cost contract against the specification provided and as an indication of contract size, the total internal space for cleaning purposes is approx. 52,000m².
The contract will be awarded as one contract for this location. For the purposes of this exercise, throughout the remainder of this document, all references to contract and/or contractor should be read as including one single contract or contractor.
Cardiff & Vale College wishes to be proud of its outsourced cleaning services which must reflect the high standard of education provided as its core activity. We are looking for a contractor that can excel in this particular type of environment and can provide the flexibility required considering the different demands of term-time, non-term-time and seasons, as well as the wide variety of building types, finishes and uses that make up the estate.
