UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS) on behalf of The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial

Strategy (BEIS), wishes to establish a Framework for the provision of Consumer Research on Product Safety Issues.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) are looking to appoint suppliers to be able to undertake ad-hoc consumer research relating to product safety. This is likely to involve online surveys and focus groups.

The duration of this Framework will be for 4 years.

It is intended that there will be 3 suppliers awarded to this Framework. These awarded suppliers will be ranked

1st, 2nd and 3rd based of the scores awarded from this completion of this procurement.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) are looking to appoint suppliers to be able to undertake ad-hoc consumer research relating to product safety. This is likely to involve online surveys and focus groups. It is envisaged the framework would be for four years.

The aim is to enable consumer insight and evidence to feed into emerging consumer issues, relevant to OPSS, in a timely and responsive manner. It is therefore proposed to tender for up to 3 economic operators to participate in a framework to provide ad-hoc market research on a call-off basis.

The framework will provide OPSS the flexibility to conduct ad-hoc consumer research in response to emerging events and policies. It will also enable the quick, easy and cost-effective generation of insight and early learning to inform policy and communications.

In order to provide prospective suppliers with the opportunity to gain more detail on the project, BEIS are holding a Supplier Day via MS Teams on 5 July 2021 from 11.00-12.00.
