Solent Academies Trust is a MAT currently consisting of 4 schools.

Mary Rose Academy, Gisors Road, Portsmouth, PO4 8GT

Cliffdale Primary Academy, Battenburg Avenue, Portsmouth, PO2 0SN

Redwood Park Academy, Portsmouth, PO6 2RY

Dove House Academy, Sutton Road, Basingstoke RG21 5SU

Multi Academy Trust governed by a board of trustees, who are also directors of the Limited company.

The Trust is required to run a tender process to appoint one single Contractor for Catering Services for 4 academies to align with their new academic year, starting September 2025.

Catering services are currently provided in house.

This process is required to:

• An open, collaborate partnership between the schools and the provider.

• Meals served to pupils are appealing, nutritious, well-cooked and culturally appropriate.

• Meals are value for money for the school.

• Meals are prepared by a motivated, valued and well trained workforce.

• Catering staff are paid the national Living Wage

• Schools, pupils and parents are regularly consulted on the menu and service.

• Increase school meal uptake.

• Food waste is kept to a minimum.

• Special diets and allergies are well catered for.

• School food quality monitoring is adequate, including reporting to the principal and trust central team.

• Achieve a more consistent and sustainable approach to Catering across the Multi Academy Company.

• Address the challenge of differing Contractors and end dates seeking one Contractor with co-terminus date for this contract

• Ensure a consistently high level of service across all schools

• Ensure there is a uniform pricing model
