Bristol City Council is seeking suitably qualified organisations to appoint to a framework for the installation and repair of internal and external aids and adaptations to homes across all tenures within the Bristol City Council boundary
The Council is wishing to procure the services and works under different lots as follows:
• Lot 1: Major Adaptations with a value above £1,500
• Lot 2: Repairs to Adaptations
• Lot 3: Urgent Adaptations to Void Properties with a value below £25,000
• Lot 4: Minor Adaptations with a value below £1,500
Under this contract the contractors and their supply chains will be required to actively
participate in the achievement of the Contracting Authority’s social, economic and
environmental objectives. Accordingly, contract documents may relate to social, economic
and environmental considerations.

• Wash /dry toileting
• External works – off road parking, ramping, paths/hardstanding, handrails, grab rails, safety fencing, soft play areas, door widening/replacement
• Internal reconfiguration – door widening, structural alternations / reconfiguration
• Kitchen adaptations including but not limited to carcasses, worktops, electrics, plumbing, ventilation and gas, flooring coverings

Requirements under this lot will include:
• Repairs to Bathing Adaptations – rip ups (full repair to all elements of installation), pump repair / replacement, electric shower / TMV repair / replacement, vinyl safety flooring repairs / replacement, repairs to shower seats, screens, curtains and rails
• Repairs to Specialised equipment – automated doors and door entry systems, rise and fall kitchen work surfaces, wash dry W.C.s
A maximum of 2 contractors will be appointed to this lot. This lot has been split geographically into two areas of the City. One contractor will be assigned to carry out repairs to adaptations in the North of the City and the other in the South of the City.
