two.1.4) Short description
As part of the City of Edinburgh Council (the Council) plan for Retrofit and Regeneration of their Social Housing across the City, the Council will undertake major refurbishment of two residential blocks located in the North of Edinburgh, Oxcars Court and Inchmikery Court. The Project will improve the current energy performance of the building to an EPC rating of B, which will play a crucial role in comating the rising costs of energy for the residents. The works comprise of a full external refurbishment of the blocks along with all common areas including the generous landscape. The project will introduce insulation and air tightness in the form of an entirely new building envelope which sits 1.5m outside of the existing frame. The entirely new structure to the existing building will help alleviate the difficulties of running services throughout an existing building with purpose-built service routing.
The estimated cost of the work is GPB25m – GBP30m
This market consultation exercise is an opportunity for potential bidders to participate in shaping the Council’s procurement strategy and gain insight into the proposed development strategy. Potential bidders who are interested in this opportunity are invited to download the market research questionnaire and complete no later than 2nd June 2023. Potential bidders who submit a questionnaire may be invited to a dialogue/question and answer session with the Council to expand on their response.
The Council is therefore publishing this Prior Information Notice to notify the market of our upcoming opportunity and to give the market an opportunity to participate in finalising the Council’s procurement strategy and help shape the procurement process.
Potential bidders are invited to download the market research questionnaire and complete no later than 2 June 2023. Those who submit a questionnaire may be invited to a dialogue session with the Project team to expand on their responses.
