The Vale of Glamorgan Council (“the Council”) wishes to establish a framework agreement with one supplier for the provision of an Internal Audit service, to be used as and when required, to supplement the existing in-house provision.

The Vale of Glamorgan hosts the Regional Internal Audit Service on behalf of the Vale, Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf Councils

Any agreement will be in the form of a framework and will operate for a period of three (3) years, with the option to extend for up to an additional one (1) year

Additional resource/expertise is required from time to time to supplement the existing internal workforce to undertake audit work within any of the four Councils forming the Regional Internal Audit Service

Most internal audit work is undertaken remotely with Microsoft Teams being widely used for contacting auditees, however Skype and other platforms may also be used. The 4 Councils use a variety of software to support various services. Access will be provided as and when required
