This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) contract modification notice, under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulation 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provision of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract is now been formally modified.

seven.2.1) Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):
Year 3 funding of Supplemental Substance Misuse Treatment and Recovery Grant (SSMTRG) covering the period from 01 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, to increase capacity and improve outcomes by utilising the grant to increase staffing within the treatment and recovery system.
The additional funding is specifically to make the following resources available:
2 x 1.0 FTE Hospital In-reach worker role
2 x 1.0 FTE Adult Integrated Service Keyworkers
20 x places on Buvidal pilot scheme
9 x 1.0 FTE Criminal Justice Key Workers
1 x 1.0 FTE Recovery Through Nature Worker
2 x 0.5 FTE Hub Assessment in Adult Services
1 x 0.4 FTE Additional Non-Medical Prescriber
Drug Costs for approx.. 100 additional opiate users
1 x FTE Band 6 Nurses Health Improvement Nurse
Recovery Connectors - 1 x 1.0 FTE Recovery Connector Team Manager and 4 x Recovery Co-ordinators and general costings for Recovery Connector Team.

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire.
Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:
For the avoidance of doubt, the provision of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this Modification and comes under the Provider Selection Regime, the services are for Rehabilitation, CPV Code, 85312500-4.
This is a permitted modification under PSR Reg 13 (1) (a) as provision was made in the original tender documents to add additional funding to increase capacity and improve outcomes across the treatment and recovery service. The funding is from the Supplemental Substance Misuse Treatment and Recovery Grant (SSMTRG). This grant will be most effective in continuing to increase capacity being delivered within the existing service and will be used across the system for additional staffing. The modification does not alter the overall nature of the current contract.
