Reading Borough Council (the "Customer") is inviting you to submit a response to a further competition in respect of the procurement opportunity referenced above. The Customer is utilising the ESPO Framework FW282_22 to appoint a Supplier to provide interior design services, a furniture plan and ultimately the provision of furniture for Reading Borough Council’s new Customer Service, back office and it’s new flagship Library. Suppliers that would like to take part in this process are invited to Express Interest upon which they will be given access to the full documentation delivered through this portal. two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Reading Borough Council (the "Customer") is inviting you to submit a response to a further competition in respect of the procurement opportunity referenced above. The Customer is utilising the ESPO Framework FW282_22 to appoint a Supplier to provide interior design services, a furniture plan and ultimately the provision of furniture for Reading Borough Council’s new Customer Service, back office and it’s new flagship Library. This project is split into two phases, and the second phase will be taking place in early 2025. Suppliers are to note that they are submitting a response for both phases of the project. (Listed below are the timelines of the phased project). The supplier also must note that all services are included in their submission bid (i.e. not at an additional separate cost), which includes CAD drawings, design layouts (furniture) and install build in the furniture. This should include space planning services as well as producing drawings for the customer which includes innovations (such as biophilic designed furniture/designs) and solutions to furniture issues. The supplier must also note as part of their submission if they can demonstrate evidence for a variety of different material options, e.g easy to clean materials, faux leather, replacement seat pads, acoustic smart furniture, etc with manufacturers guarantees. Evidence of access to different manufacturers. The successful contractor will provide furniture fitout designs ensuring measurements fit into the proposed design. They must also deliver, assemble, and fit the furniture and must specify mechanical and electrical requirements. This would be at no additional cost to the Council. The budget for the furniture element of this project for the Customer Service area, back office and the Library is £1.2m.
