Oldham Council provides many services to serve the residents of the borough, 2 of which are
a bulky waste collection service and the Local Welfare Provision (LWP) scheme.
The bulky waste collection service is a statutory duty collecting from domestic households in
Oldham and the LWP scheme is to provide support to meet short term
emergency/immediate supports needs of vulnerable residents and also to assist vulnerable
residents to establish or maintain a home in the community.
The Council wish to combine these 2 contracts and offer residents a holistic service offer.
