To ensure continuity of service to the PSNI for their critical business functions, PSNI require an extension of its original contract for an additional 5 years while the current technology is upgraded. PSNI will seek to rely on Regulation 72(1)(b) for additional works, services or supplies "have become necessary" and were not included in the initial procurement and a change of supplier would not be practicable (for economic, technical or interoperability reasons) and would involve substantial inconvenience / duplication of costs.

The original awarded value of this contract was £2,267,807.00. With the initial extension in 2021 taking the estimated contract spend to £4,200,000. this modification is for a total of £1,133,903.50 leading to a revised contract value of £5,333.903.50
