DVLA hosts the Clean Air Zone Contact Centre and must implement a PCI compliant assisted digital payment service. This is a critical delivery that must be delivered before Manchester go live with their CAZ service currently planned for October 2022.

A contract for the wider DVLA telephony service including delivering PCI compliant services which specifically excluded CAZ from Scope. Therefore a procurement was undertaken to let a specific contract to cover the development of these services, utilising the same third-party supplier, ensuring continuity of service and avoiding the risk of non-compliance whilst supporting the Clean Air Zones rollout

Explanation:

A contract for the wider DVLA telephony service including delivering PCI compliant services which specifically excluded CAZ from Scope. Therefore we were required to let a specific contract to cover the development of these services, utilising the same third-party supplier, ensuring continuity of service and avoiding the risk of non-compliance whilst supporting the Clean Air Zones rollout.
