Description
Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is transforming how its adult mental health rehabilitation services is being developed as a key part of its vision for a holistic rehabilitation pathway. A key part of the Trust's transformation plan is to repurpose some of its inpatient rehabilitation services into clinically integrated supported housing.
Clinically integrated supported housing is a community setting forming part of the local treatment pathway where people can live as tenants or license holders, receive daily non-clinical specialist support relating to their mental health needs in addition to any other wellbeing needs identified through person-centred planning, and where dedicated clinical input (consisting of clinical care to people living at the premises, practice development for Service Provider staff, and co-leadership of the Service with the Service Provider) is provided at the Service.
This tender and the resulting contract is for the transformation of Rutland Gardens (in Brighton and Hove) from an inpatient service to a clinically integrated specialist supported housing service for adults, typically aged 18-65 and having been diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health needs. The intention is for building works to be undertaken by the successful bidder, and the building premises to be leased to the successful bidder for the term of the contract. Further details are provided in the tender documents.
NHS Commercial Solutions is running the tender process on behalf of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (The Authority).
The Authority is intending to follow the Competitive Process to award a contract under The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
