Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (“the Trust”) is the freeholder of the site on which it wishes to invite organisations to finance and construct a new health and wellbeing centre (“the Centre”).

The Centre will have a Gross Internal Area of approximately 2,096 (Two thousand and ninety six) square metres and needs to meet the requirements defined by Kent Community Health

NHS Foundation Trust (with the Trust leading) Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group (“the CCG”).

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Trust will lease the site to the successful bidder for it to deliver the Centre. The occupier(s) will lease the completed building for a period of up to 35 years. At the end of the lease term the Centre will revert back to the Trust’s ownership. By leasing the building to an NHS body the developer will secure a long term fixed return for the investment.

This is a joint procurement for Kent Community Health NHS

Foundation Trust CCG with the Trust leading on the conduct of the procurement procedure. The NHS bodies will confirm contractual arrangements to bidders shortlisted to participate in the procurement procedure. The Contract award will be by either or both of the named Authorities.

The Invitation to Tender and contractual documents are being prepared by the Trust and drafts may be released through the portal ahead of the SQ submission deadline. Applicants are advised to check the portal periodically for release. In any event the final version of the documents will be made available to bidders shortlisted to participate in the tendering stages of the procurement procedure.

The Trust reserves the right to vary, amend and update any aspects of the procurement documents and final details and versions of the procurement documents will be confirmed to those applicants who are successfully selected to participate in the relevant tender stages of the procurement procedure.

The Trust reserves the right not to accept requests to participate that are received after the deadline.
