two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) and University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN) undertook a competitive procurement for the provision of an Ambient AI Voice Technology solution.

The procurement was conducted as a further competition under the Crown Commercial Service Automation Marketplace DPS (RM6173, Lot 1), with Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust acting as the lead contracting authority.

The procurement sought to implement and deploy an ambient AI solution to support clinical and non-clinical documentation across multiple hospital sites, with the aim of improving efficiency and clinical productivity.

The contract was awarded for a three-year term, with an option to extend for a further 12 months.
