The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is considering establishing arrangements for the award of contracts for the provision of employment and health related services (for example in the form of a framework or framework-style agreement). It is anticipated a Lot structure will be utilised, details of this will be confirmed at a later date. The objective of the arrangements would be to provide employment and health related support services helping people who are unemployed, disabled, have a health condition or barrier to work to select, train for, obtain and retain employment. The types of support services required may vary over time and with the needs of the people being supported.
The arrangements will formalise a list of suppliers that DWP (and other contracting authorities) can contract with for future call-offs. These suppliers will meet DWP’s minimum standards, including financial viability, and will have the quality and capability to deliver our future requirements.
It is intended that the procurement of the arrangements will commence in or following October 2024 and will be conducted under the Procurement Act 2023.

DWP are seeking to conduct early engagement with the market via a webinar on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th May 2024. The content of the two sessions will be identical and therefore there is no need to attend both sessions.
The main purpose of the market engagement event is to raise awareness of the relevant elements of the arrangements and to provide high level background information to help the market develop an understanding of the requirements of the arrangements; and to help understand and consider the potential options that are available and help to build the scope of requirements. The DWP are looking to share with the market current high-level thinking for the potential design and establishing of the arrangements including potential future engagement with the market.
This event will include time for a Question-and-Answer session with colleagues from DWP Commercial. Following the market engagement event, a copy of relevant questions raised by interested parties and DWP's responses to such questions may be made available.
