Camden Council wishes to commission one geographically based neighbourhood provider for long term care and support at home and two providers for geographically based reablement support. All contracts will run for up to 1.5 years until 31 March 2025 with a combined cost of £3.9 million. The contract term will align with current long term care and reablement contracts which will also end in March 2025 when a new approach to care and support at home will commence.
The services being tendered fall under the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contract Regulations 2015
Only providers with a Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection rating of overall ‘Good’ or higher will be considered. A one-stage procurement process will be undertaken, similar to the open procedure, whereby suppliers will submit responses to both Selection Criteria (assessing technical capacity and experience) and Award Criteria (assessing proposals for delivering the service). There will be three Lots:
1. Long-term care – Central neighbourhood
2. Reablement – North West locality with defined geographical boundary
3. Reablement – North East locality with defined geographical boundary
For all three Lots applicants will be shortlisted against scored selection criteria questions which will test experience and capacity to deliver similar services. The highest scoring 5 applicants will then have their tender award criteria responses evaluated against the published award criteria.
