Langford wishes to continue providing the services.
Langford is satisfying its existing contract, and is therefore likely satisfy the new contract to a sufficient standard, and the proposed contracting arrangements are not changing considerably.
The considerable change threshold rule means that the new contract cannot exceed either £500k or 25% of the original contracted value unless the change in value change is caused by external factors such as inflation or changes in patient volume, or it’s a change due to a merger or takeover.
In this instance, the change in value is attributable to changes in inflation and additional costs incurred in relation to diagnostics.
The key criteria assessed included: Quality and Innovation, Value, Integration, Collaboration and Service Sustainability, Improving Access and reducing health inequalities, Social Value.
