The Comhairle requires the supply of fuel on the basis of a Framework Agreement from local outlets across the Western Isles for fleet vehicles (including plant and equipment). This contract has an estimated expenditure of approx. 500k GBP per annum. There is no guarantee as to the exact volume of business that any supplier will receive and it should also be noted that vehicles may be added or removed during the period of the contract in line with the Comhairle's operational strategies.

This authority will incorporate a minimum of 10 calendar days standstill period at the point where the intention to award the contract is communicated to tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful tenderers to seek further debriefing from the contracting authority before the contract is entered into.
